SFC Keyes

OK, so I am getting beat up for not writing on this profile. As you all know I am SFC Kevin Keyes. I am the fire support NCO as well as the S-3 operations NCO. That way I have something to do...sometimes. They won't let me blow anything up this time around so I have to pass the time somehow.
I have been in the Army 14 years now with this being my second trip to the lovely Iraq. I am married to Becky Keyes with two boys Dustin and Dalton who are 10 and 5. They are all back in Georgia waiting as they usually do. Ah the life of a soldier and his family.
Below my picture if you look close is my view of Iraq. Yes I am in there...look in the window. That is my toy, the M2 .50Cal machine gun. Myself, Cpt. Larsen, and SFC Miller are the ones that provide overwatch protection when the guys dismount inside Samarra or wherever we are. So by the way moms, yes all of that is ballistic glass and armor, so we are safe as we can get, whatever safe is here. Not too much more to say really, but hopefully the masses will be pleased with this.
We did build a deck with a hang out porch on it here at Brassfield-Mora. Gotta do something right?
Why Red? Im Artillery. King of Battle is red.

Hi Kev,
You haven't mentioned Baxter lately; is he still with your unit? Shall I send more dog treats in the next box?
I've let the family know about the car accident and that Becky and the boys are okay. God Bless you and the Team -- be safe! Like you say - 61 days and then you'll be homeward bound! Whoo Hoo! Stay safe!
Love, mom

The new additions to the web site look great! Sgt. Gappa does a really nice job with this page. I love seeing pictures of the town and the people. You all seem to be making a positive impact on the population.
Take care, be safe and God Bless your team!

Lots of love,

mom
